OOft - shame mate. Could have been worse mind you, have seen them start to roll down the pitlane before (although that's with the hot brakes situation) which could get scary...
Another one to slot in the box marked 'experience'

Another addition to the learning experience Gary - always leave the car in gear when parked, even if it's a supposedly flat piece of ground! I'm surprised your driving instructor never taught you that. At least you'll never forget to do that now!
Hope you get the scratches polished out.
Did you make it on track then?

Agree with George. Probably much cheaper just writing off the £40. You have probably used up this week's quota of luck

To echo the comments above, Speed Sunday (nee hot hatch) days aren't really the best place for a track novice, I think a bright orange Lotus costing more than a lot of the other cars put together might be a bit of a target...
Some pics from the last one I spectated at a year ago:

have been to a few of these "hot hatch day's" and it seems the way to go is take a shed don't know how many times I have seen Corsa's with lovely pearlest paint jobs and 3 tonnes of stereo fly off the track.....
and end up getting shoved off the back of the transporter into a field on the way home

You can chock a wheel too.
A TVR rolled away in the KH pitlane for the same reasons a few years back. Not sure of the outcome...if it had to go round any corners while freewheeling I guess it was certainly fecked

looks like Hot Hatch days are a tad on the dangerous side then. Is overtaking allowed or is it just that the blue Focus (RS?) is spinning and therefore the others are passing? Never been up there to spectate a hot hatch day (and not sure i'll ever bother now!)
'16 MINI Cooper S - Family fun hatch
'98 Lotus Elise - Fun day car
'04 Maserati Coupe GT - Manual, v8, Italian...

I think overtaking / undertaking is allowed.
