Any healthy debate, is good IMO, as it's only through discussion that we learn.

Just because people don't agree with others opinions, doesn't mean you should not respect their opinions, or their right to have them.

What makes you think they are free? On a cost vs value basis, I'm more concerned with the real value of health, education and a more equal society.

No, shame really. If a valid point gets made by anyone those of opposing views will ignore it and bitch about something else. Failing that your intelligence gets insulted because they are right, you are wrong and in this day and age you have to pick a side and defend it to the death.

Nooooo. The old girl had been gathering a bit of pace recently which has been good. Do we need a "And another thing..." room for the political chat. Don't want to deny those who like it....but there's no winning at armchair politics so it's a bit moot.

Holyrood - what a bargain that turned out to be.....

Westminster is a historic palace, you go abroad and see a picture of london, what are you likely to be looking at? carre to suggest how much money in tourism it brings in quite apart from housing the UK government (including the 56 SNP idiots).


As for Cross-Rail, it's of no benefit to me either, but I would suggest that a large proportion of UK tax revenue is levied on the people it does benefit.
