So, hold a race in Killlie and maybe bring back Eddie Jordan and his pit girls. That'd go a long way to sorting it.

Between Dennis & Mossley it's been pretty much stitched up now anyway.

I can't believe they have demoted Alonso!!

What's next??? Will a driver be punished for coming into the pits in front of Hamilton and doing 2mph under the speed limit?

The guy is talented for sure, but he's not yet a "great" in motorsport - I just wonder what other countries that might not be swept up the nationalism of it all will have made of the last few races.

Did anyone pick up Damon Hill's commentary remark "yeah James, what next eh...they'll be bringing a Naughty Step to each race and teams or drivers will all get chucked in a room at the end of the pits and told not to talk for a while for being Naughty!". Classic.

Fundamentally, no-one passes anyone in an F1 race now unless a) they have a majorly different car (witness Alonso climbing the field for a while after his start) or b) it's via pit stops.

What a pathetic ratio of passes-per-pound F1 has shaped up to be. Just look at the planet-saving amounts of money pumped into it, in the name of "sport". I really don't know why I watch it. Oh that's right, cos it's right around Eilidh's nap time so I get to have a sit down :-)

Touring Cars for me next year I think...

anyone else think the commentary was the worst yet? I was most relieved when James Allen reverted to his safety net of, "lets enjoy the noise of this X Yor Zengine"

Yes it was a bit mince, but in there defence could you talk your way through a full F1 race where nothing happens ?

For those bored with F1, why not try Indy Racing League (IRL)
Here is a clip from last nights race clicky. This was after the leads had swapped numerous time. Definitely anything but boring

Thing with Indy is it's ok when it's on circuits but a total yawnfest when it's on the ovals.

I watched Formula BMW in the early hours this morining on ITV. Much more fun - all cars are the same and the driving wheel to wheel.

I can assure you that the majority of ovals are anything but a yawn fest. Last night's race had something like 7 or 8 different leaders with the lead swapping many times, sometimes twice a lap on a lap of about 30 secs. Once you get into it and root for a favourite driver, there are few forms of motorsport as exciting or close.

Why not give it a try? Next Saturday night (late) is another oval. You can view it live with onboard footage and quality commentary at http://www.indycar.com. You never know, you may enjoy it.

Scot, Dario Franchitti leads the championship and won the Indy 500. Fellow Brit Dan Wheldon is extremely competitive and a former champion. Another Brit, Darren Manning is in a less competitive car, but still gives it his best shot. Perhaps the most competitive female driver ever, Danica Patrick also races and she isn't too bad on the eye either :D

Or you could keep watching the bi-weekly snorefest of F1 and listening to that particularly annoying c0ck!
