i have just had mine done and MMC are charging me for the carraige down to lotus.
Sanjoy were you charged extra for the carraige?
Total was £59 once the vat was added.

I spoke to them about getting it done a few weeks ago. They said the £40 was plus postage, but were unable to say how much it'd be.

BTW, what are the elastic bits by the butress locks actually for? Mine just flap about.

Elastic straps are just for folding the tails into when stowing the roof I think. At least that's what I've always used mine for!

TBH, it's the forward plastic rail that's broken, and the stiching around it, not bad otherwise.

Just got my roof back from MMC, all refurbed. What is the best thing to clean it, and then reproof it again????? I saw Autoglym roof bottles, but they were £20.00. Are they any good?

I use the Autoglym stuff and it's really good.

Where are you based Haggis? If you're anywhere near Glasgow, you can borrow mine. I've got plenty left.

What do they actually do for the refurb? My roof's a bit tired after 8 years languishing in its bag most of the time

Hi Campbell. Good to hear from you. Yeh buddy the refurb.
My roof had a slight tear in the middle, where it folded up in the centre. It was also begining to hole between the outer plastic retainers. The refurb replaced all the plastics. They sew on a new beading all the way around the hood, and also replace the elastic bits at the back of the roof. Where the small hole was in the centre front. They have sewn in i small section in the inside. But it still looks like a small hole from the outside. The cost was just over £40.00, plus a small handling fee from MMC Total £56.00
