mine was a 1996 R plater in black, ex-Guinness UDV management car and it was brilliant. Okay, numb to drive in comparison to the 'liz, but as a low budget second car, couldn't be beat, and returned 35mpg religiously

Best starting point would be car value web sites (parkers) etc. Also do a search on Autotrader for cars similar to your's , to see what other's are being advertised for. Parkers seems to be written by a volvo lover - it mentioned in the region of 3k which is just bonkers too high!
