If anyone wants to meet up for a convoy run down on the Sunday to Dony, then we could meet at Abington Services at 12:00 for lunch and then leave around 13:00ish.

We would then get to the hotel between 17:00 and 18:00 and enough time to check-in and freshen up before meeting in the Radisson Blu Hotel Bar for pre-curry drinks.

Steve.

Ps. I am not arranging taxis this time, or following the leader to Newcastle.

(I’m only there on transport duties)
Does this include to and from the curry night or will you be drinking?

If you have a spare seat…………. :D

Steve.

Ps. Did I say that I am not booking taxis this time.

I have also reserved the private function room for us all for the Sunday evening curry.

20 seats at the moment, but I will confirm with them nearer the time regarding total numbers.

Food is delicious here. :thumbsup

Not sure on lifts, Steve. The van may be hitched up to the trailer.

Let’s see how the actual journey goes first

Can’t believe that there is only two weeks to go now. Where does the time go?

Steve.

Ps. Can we go yet? :damnfunny

Attn all running types…

Donington Park sometimes opens the track for walkers / runners, at the end of play.

So whilst sunset is against us on Monday (16.41 ), there might be a chance to access the track on foot. Am also checking whether we could use the lunch break!

No guarantees - Andy Swift, Circuit Mgr, asked me to pop in to Circuit Office on the day to check.

If interested let me know and I’ll update you on the day.

It’s only two miles long, so I might do a couple of laps and then grab some lunch.

Lunch break the track may be in use for a Donnie client - but I’m to check anyway

My plan is 3 laps National (9k - tight!) or 2 laps International (8k - perfect )

Ed’s in too.

I’ll need a shower as well

Campbell,

I am sure that there are shower facilities at Dony, but if it’s raining and there is hot food available in the restaurant, then I will give the running a miss. I may go out for a short run once I arrive at my hotel later in the evening.
