Graeme is good at his job....his job is to sell cars and that's what he does best. I had a wee rift with MMC which was eventually sorted but I still think the service department and their prices are awful.

Lot's of good reviews with Dan but for me, Newcastle is too far.
I will continue to use Falkland who have never (so far) put a foot wrong with me.

As long as what people are stating is factual and not based on assumptions, I suspect Gordon Nisbet would like to hear about this.

:(
My recent complaint letter to Lotus was CC'd to Gordon Nisbet and the sales manager at Glasgow MMC where I bought my car. The only one that actually gave a toss and offered further compensation was the sales manager at Glasgow MMC. I've not even had an official response from MMC to the letter I sent to Gordon Nisbet. Lotus have responded, but their attitude was terrible. I get the impression Lotus actually don't care if we're having bad experience with our cars or a dealer.

I wrote to him personally and he called back within 24 hours.

I'm not wanting to enter this arguement, merely stating a view point.

If you feel that its a waste of time its your opinion

Agreed.
If anyone feels anything needs moderated that we've missed (not just in this thread) please just PM myself, shug, Ed or ironside about it.

I have to say that I think this purge against MMC is getting a little out of hand, and is rapidly developing into a witch hunt. :chainsaw
So I think it is only fair to balance it out with some better experiences of their service.

I, along with Robin, Campbell and others being the original SE'ers, have probably been dealing with MMC longer than most of you young wippersnappers!
Laughing

I have bought 4 cars over the years from them, and found them very good to deal with (Not always the cheapest). Graeme is a very professional salesman, and is a rare breed of car salesman who actually knows his product inside out.

Bill, in the Service Dept is currently helping me out with a problem on the 340r (Which I didnt buy from them) and couldnt be more helpful.
When I had a major problem with the 111r last year that was not straightforward, they went well out of the way to get it sorted, and fought well my corner to get Lotus to pay for it, as well as still making sure that I had a decent car to run around in.

Everybody is entitled to air their grievances on this list (And quite rightly so) but please lets keep it to a civil level, without resorting to insults!

So lets not lose sight of the friendship and comraderie that SE is famous worldwide for!! :D
Very Happy :beer

I agree with Paul- I have had nothing but good service from them - having said that I wouldn't take the car to them for servicing!

Just to make you all aware, Greg and I spoke via PM last night and our "definitions" banter earlier in this post was purely good natured from both of us - just in case it was imagined that this was the personal content referred to.
