135R decals

Post by pshanks76 » Tue Sep 06, 2016 8:36 am

Does anyone know where I can source 135R decals, or does anyone have a 135R and can take some decent images so that I can make up sticker artwork? I have vector files of the 'Lotus Sport' part, but can't seem to find a decently high res image of the 135R text so that I can accurately redraw.

Cheers, Paul.

I paid Lotus about £50-60 for them and they ended up in the bin, the one on the rear was usable but the wing ones were so old and dry they wouldn't come off the backing for the bodyshop, they spent a good 30-40 mins trying while I was there and admitted defeat. I meant to take them back in to Murray's are they were so bloody expensive but i've not been passing and not sure they'd do anything about it now as it's been ages, I bought them in April

Ah just noticed you're 135R mine were the sport 135 ones... Bob does the 135R ones mate.. http://members.home.nl/b.vanmelzen/motorsport.htm But nobody does the sport 135 ones

Thanks Mark, I'll give Bob a shout and see how much they are. I might just create a set anyway so that I have the files for future use - once I have them as vectors it's easy to get a set created at any sign makers.

Looks like you can get 135 decals here: http://www.thelotuscentreonline.co.uk/e ... A117B0451F

Main Stealler prices  .... there were 4 decals in total, one for the dash (Used), one for the rear (used) and 2 for next to the side repeaters although these were unusable. The problem with the getting them made idea Sanj is nobody had the 135 bit of the sticker vector or what ever it's called, the Lotus Sport bit is easy to get but the price to have them made was working out as much as Lotus were charging and MMC had a set in stock, clearly since 2002  ..

Thanks for the link Paul! I'll order new wing ones from them :thumbsup Arrghh just noticed they only list silver, mine are graphite as the car is silver, gutted :(

If your having trouble, let me know. Getting the cutter out of hibernation shortly (watch this space), although hampered by the scumbags who stole my laptop that I still haven't had back from the Police. I've lined one up though so problem solved short term.
EDIT: oh and if you have a picture and measure of how long it needs to be then simple to do.

Ferg I think i actually have an unused sticker mate if you're up for a bit of practice? :D

This is the ones I need

Image

Mine are charcoal but fancy them in dark grey brushed alloy look vinyl and the stripe I'd like is also brushed alloy with a bright yellow surround, in the style of the one on this exige

Image

not sure how tricky that might be to recreate though? :thumbsup

I might give you a shout to make up some stickers if you have a vinyl cutter. I will make up a 135R decal in Illustrator now I have found a decent photo of one, just need to work out what size it should be.... If anyone has one they can measure feel free to send me dimensions:)

I have a 135R. When I bought mine, it needed a new rear decal. I got it from Deroure. It wasn't overly expensive and was easy to apply. Looks great now! Have a look on their site, it's pretty good.
