Right you are all being silly. F1 for performance. One of the two below for looks. Don't like Lambos normally but I'll have my Miura in white please.
Not sure if this is a supercar. But mine would be in red. (Saw one in Bray (just outside Maidenhead) once, parked outside the cricket club. My non-car loving mates didn't give it a second look whilst I stopped slack jawed and gazed.)

The 250 GTO is one of the all time classics, and also one of the most beautiful.
Your pic of Nick Masons reg 250 GTO is also the best known, and one of the best used.

What about the Koenigsegg? It may have an odd name and its produced by a weird looking bald bloke in Sweden, but it looks amazing, is relatively light, the latest CCX has over 800bhp, and it surely has the coolest doors of any car ever made.
I'll have one along with an F40 and a Zonda please.

1x 250 GTO from old times - pop down to Goodwood
1x Macca F1 from recent times - pop in to see Gordon Murray and talk F1 and Elise
1x Zonda F from now - pop over to Italy and get a new pair of Zonda shoes also

One other thought on all these supercars. All petrolheads fantasise about owning one, but I doubt whether many, if indeed any of them would have better steering feel than an Elise, or better handling and more ultimate cornering grip than an Exige.

Obviously I voted for the F40. There was one at Oulton Park (in the carpark not on the track), lovely and pleasingly scruffy.
All the new super(hyper?)cars are lovely, I bet they start and everything but they would be too big, too clumsy and for me much much too flash (esp the Lambos). I don't want to look like a footballer. (OK I do want to look like a footballer ie athletic and, well younger. I just don't want people to think I have the taste of a footballer and have confused cost with design loveliness).
As for the Elise steering feel etc. Most petrol heads would have an Elise in their garage. Most of us have. How cool are we?

There was only one car on my wall as a kid, I liked to be the odd one at school who did not like the Testarossa.
By all accoutns it is pump but did feature in one of the best car based movie intros.

you seen the even rarer (but maybe not as attractive) 250 califonia??
as for supercars, i'm quite fond of the maserati MC12. I know an enzo in drag, but still. Plus, i like the blue and white colour scheme(only avail. in one colour, unlike the handbag any colour enzo)
