S2 HID light.

Post by tut » Thu Feb 11, 2016 1:36 pm

The dipped beam on my HID front light has gone and I need to make sure that I order the correct one as I have not worked with one before.

It will be after market, so has anyone fitted a kit or had to replace a bulb. They have a ballast pack as well so it could be one of the two.

Have also been looking at HID conversions so would be interesting to hear others thoughts.

Probably need more info tut - would imagine there's more than one option to upgrade (from aftermarket specialists like Elise Shop and Eliseparts, to ropey chinese eBay jobs)

Probably need to take a look at any codes or part numbers on the ballast units or bulbs/burners

No idea. Came fitted on the car 4 years ago and have been faultless since (kiss of death)...

Cheers Sanjoy
Im happy to just buy a kit and try it. There will be more than one suitable kit. Martin have you got both dipped and full as HID as I see you get both options?

Just the dip, but that is plenty. Can still be too bright if you get a load of new signs at the side of the road in the dark.....Flashing at someone must look kinda strange, but then that is not my problem.
