And the only way to access the One True Playlist is to scan the vomit stains on Smee's carpet with a QR code app...

Just to add, I've tried Amazon Prime Music as I already had Prime... It pretty much sucks, and isn't a Spotify replacement.
Good to know! (the bit about Amazon Music)... was wavering between that or spotify. :thumbsup

TBH prime all but pays for itself with delivery alone - we've not used the video streaming either.

Spotify premium here. I'm not someone who ever subscribers to things, but after 3 months free, £10 is a fair price. Use it to stream to my rocki and Chromecast, which it does very well. Tried deezer, didn't like it.

Used to be £10, I stopped it and used Apple Music for free trail, didn't like it and resigned up for Spotify and it was £13 :(

Really? £10 here: https://www.spotify.com/uk/premium/

Sanj, as ddtb says, yes. Can now send music only via the Chromecast too. Save's me having to get up & switch the amp from TV to music. Dosent sound quite as good though as it's going via the TV. Will deal the rocki fire Chromecast audio soon I think.

Thread drift.

I have a spare male to male HDMI hanging off the projector, can I simply use a gender bender then plug in the chrome cast? Don't know much about HDMI.

I must be mistaken. The biggest benefit for me is the offline mode for flights and in car when there's little signal which is most of my drives. (Lecht, glenshee, highlands)

Links directly with soundhound too which is handy for getting something you can't deme eve the name of.

For info the Chromecast audio now supports multi room so you can set the house up with multi room sound for £30 per room connected to any speakers
If you're not living on the edge you're wasting too much space!

Campbell it will turn your 1980's (Tut read 60's 70's) stereo into a WiFi sonos. I have set up 5.1 surround sound speakers in the corners of my rooms and then use the Chromecast for the input. The Chromecast audio outputs in 3.5mm jack and optical.
