Is the Tapatalk iPhone App not working due to the version upgrade?

Cheers

Yeh, the board wouldn't upgrade with the mods in place so it was wiped clean and upgraded through all the steps from 3.0.0 to 3.0.8.
This is one reason why Quick Reply looks so different too, it's now part of the standard board and not a mod, and why all the non-standard styles are gone.

Tapatalk will be back soon :)

Hey there any chance of another black skin again that is easier on the eye ? e.g. http://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/style/twilightbb/ ?

Cheers for all the hard work.

Bit more info perhaps Sanj? Why would we want it, what would it achieve for the forum? Genuinely - no idea what you're on about, you see.

Pros: passwords would no longer be sent in plaintext when you log in.

Cons: server load increases, hassle of remembering to renew certs, Simon has to dedicate an IP to SE instead of sharing with name-based vhosts.

The last one is the biggie for me. We get free hosting from Simon, but shouldn't consume his limited IPv4 addresses... that's not fair really.

Yeh, ditto. Aside from plaintext is there anything on SE that would benefit/require encryption?

The whole schtick here with SE is to remember that it's not a closed forum. We've always kept it open to view to non-members in the large (apart from a couple of members only forums)

Another discussion to have would be whether the membership wanted it closed - and that's one for a new thread, not piggybacking onto a board upgrade thread from years ago, eh Sanj? :)

The mods have repeatedly said that this is an open shop - don't post stuff on here you wouldn't be happy shouting in a pub. IMO, that's better than having a false sense of 'privacy' when in reality even a closed forum isn't that secure.

Just my 2c though.

I don't know, try to suggest an improvement and these damn mods put the boot in.

Okay can we have a new smiley pack then ? Image
