Careful. Constructive Dismissal alert!

Couldn't agree more though.

Quite right, make their job more fun and they will do a better job ... of course you can also just fire them for moaning :-)

BTW, I love my job, always have, cannot imagine what else I would be much use at or enjoy half as much!

Cheers,
Robin

Loved mine too, never sat in an office chair or indeed an office, never had a computer or a mobile, never had to kowtow to anybody but sometimes had to pay for it, can look back now and think that I was a lucky bastar*d.

I did 3 uni degrees in order to keep being a student, and then had the cheek to take a gap year, all to avoid having to get a proper job and even then I didn't know what I wanted to do :)

Part of my "career" was becoming a Civil Servant and working in the Scottish Office, Department of Agriculture and Fisheries for Scotland, Seed Potato Section, Maris Piper Desk (yes, seriously!!) I had to sign the Official Secrets Act, wear a shirt and tie to work and had a card to swipe to get me in and out of the building and monitor my time at work. I managed it for less than 3 weeks and just didn't go back on the 3rd Thursday afternoon because some friends were off to play golf in the sun and that seemd a better option. Sounds crazy when you write it down like that, but that is how it went. Must have been daft!! :)

I now work 3 hrs on a Wednesday afternoon, 3 hrs on a Friday afternoon, and then every second Thursday afternoon I do another 3 hrs.. and even then, work sometimes gets in the way of not-working. When I grow up, I want to be a student again. :)

I think it is down to 180 hours (or thereabouts) to get a right hand seat in an airline. (Restricted twin licence - so you can fly an Airbus but not a Cessna!)

I don't think FOs earn much though.
