What about the Evora yellow/orange that glows in the sunshine?

...or maybe Aston Martin grey? :-p
Abolutely on a budget  Budget has to cover paint though, I was aware of this and speaking to our friendly Lotus Service Manager type chappie who has been quoting me happy with many things lately, he said a colour change at this point wouldn't add much to the cost as the whole thing is going to require doing anyhow, Craig said if it was his shout I'd have a Scandal Green S1, who knows I could drop it with him say I want this in white and arrive to find it green on collection hahahahahaha......

Keep the suggestions coming, some great shouts there! Jim Clarke one looks awesome! as does the Castrol Exige and Martini white one..... hmmmmmmm :thumbsup

Love your car Mike but don't want to be a copycat and your interior is too good to compete with :)

Will be getting a quote from transcal to do something with the interior, got a great quote from a crowd in Glasgow on Facebook, Baileys car Trimmers so not sure what to do with the inside either, then there is David Hannen in Edinburgh who did my Esprit but tehy are probably out of budget, may give give Willie Ramsey a shout on that one but guessing he'll be beyond my means too

Maybe had too much caffeine over lunchtime but always loved the Mint Green Porsche colour which would be a different take on the Scandal Green

Favourite ever colour in that palette is the Rubystone Red but don't think you would ever put that on an Elise, somehow works on the 911 (cue comments)

Oh, that mint green is nice.

What about Jaguar Willow Green? EDIT: Actually, I think another SEer has plans for Jag Willow Green. I thought it was a similar Morgan colour he was going for, but a bit of Googling suggests it might actually be the same colour, and Morgan just have another name for it or something.

Once saw a 2 tone S1 exige but was with a white front and an azure blue rear, looked great.

How about the Type49 colour scheme but with your wheels left gunmetal to make it a bit different 8) Or would the Type 23 style work on the S1?

The slightly darker Rover almond green would work well too.

Heading right back to type 49 style with that in my head, almond green over old english white, black leather interior...
mwmackenzie wrote:Much as I love scandal, drove Stu's 160 a while back and it certainly turns heads! Thing is I will be using this car for work, visiting clients etc so not sure if it might be a bit in yah face? :?: Type 49 is cool...
As for using it for work / meeting clients, not sure what you do, so it's maybe not applicable, but surely having a car that stands out is a good thing for business?
Even if you don't think it suits your job, Magnum PI managed to successfully be a private detective and drive a bright red Ferrari. :blackeye

On the other hand, if you want discreet, I'm not entirely sure you've chosen the right car ;)

If you want something more subtle, how about the grey over silver look (ie, subtle differences on less garish colours.
Old english white over dark green (both flat colours not metallic).
These cars really do suit 2 tone.

Not big on green really but the 2 tone I may actually do ;) painted all one colour and wrap the details would be the way I'd go with that for flexability. Yeah deffo the wrong car for the job but I NEED another Lotus in my life hahaaha... Lovedthe retro look ones on the web link popted earlier, really got me thinking :) On the Magnum thing, I hear you, would I need to invest heavily in Shug shirts to make that work for me though?? The tash I can manage I think ;)

On the theme of the classic car colours, what about Aston Martin racing green (also keeps your aston colours thing on the go :D ). Done with dark wheels, it could look very cool,.... or a bit bland....

As much as I do actually like the classic Aston Racing Green and Tan combo I'm 90% sold on keeping her White as it's very versitile as a roll of vinyl can change the look/theme of the car at will lol, as above with the Martini theme or the Castrol and Tag classic loooks on Marks link, then there is Urban cammo for a weekend jaunt/event.... :thumbsup
