New car.......well kind of (NLC) EDIT: New Bike Too!

Post by S111Y TT » Sun May 12, 2013 3:29 am

So, I got a new car. In September  I was meant to take new photographs when I got home with it and had the registration on but I kind of forgot. Here are the photos from when I picked it up down in Bournemouth. It now very proudly wears the registration "N1 TUT". It isn't a Lotus as I need something for all year round but another Lotus is on the way.

S'ok, another Lotus on the way apparently - everyone's allowed a stop gap!

Plus we have to keep it on retention, so better that it goes on a car, even though not an Elise.

I reckon another couple of beatings and he will be able to buy an Exige V6 Roadster, and as he is away 70% of the year, it would be a second car for me.

I'm remembering you said that. Forget buying a bike when I get home. I will go put a deposit down on one of those instead haha!

Massive improvements. The brake fluid hasn't boiled on me yet which is a very nice change. Holds to the road far better during cornering as well, this was the most noticeable change for me. When I get round to putting new tyres all round I can only imagine the improvement yet again. Still under steers the same as previous and you can only counter that as much as the car lets you, low gear high revs.

The Mk1 was remapped to equivalent BHP but this has a lot more kick. It is S-Tronic which I thought would suck a lot of fun away but all it does is make my work drive very comfortable and when I want to slam the car and have some fun I just slap the shifter, press the suspension button to stiffen it right up and then fiddle with the flaps (straight man joke right there gents!).

I love the looks of the car, the colour as well. Got it for a steal of a price since I bought all the way down south. Saved 6 grand and got a better spec'd car with lower milage. Breezes through the snow and wet, so much fun in the dry. Will need to get it to Knockhill when I am actually home for an day.

Thanks for asking :thumbsup

Edit: brake not break, sorry pops!
