Ross,

I wondered if you'd caught "Bob Servant Independent".

By the way, and for the record, I have absolutely no association with "#sandwichvan". Image

Cheers,

Eric :)

Some good YouTube clips, I liked the BBC news feature...

Brian Cox is actually one of my best mates' great uncles - and of course I am Ferry born and bred, along with at least one other SEer I can think of :thumbsup

Cheers for the heads up Eric :cheers

My mate from school Neil Forsyth is the creator of Bob so I was watching - the books are hilarious!!

Hopefully it will be a grower as I thought there was only a couple of laughs, but Neil has said the general view is that most enjoyed it :thumbsup

I read "Delete This At Your Peril" and thought that it was original, colourful and hilarious :D

The TV Show I suppose always had to have a completely format from the books, but I thought that first episode was very, very lame :?. Didn't think much of Brian Cox either - some lines that might've been funny on paper seemed to lack humour when he delivered them. JMO!

...had me longing for Messrs Kiernan and Hemphill to reconcile their differences and give us another classic series of the peerless "Still Game"!

Hmm not the best, and was particularly disappointed when in one scene the were down near the ship in the ferry, only to go round the corner and find themselves in milngavie in Glasgow! :|

Hello Ross.

I've actually been thinking about looking out this thread and posting on it.

I've been hearing some Bob Servant shows on Radio Scotland late at night (maybe between midnight and 01:00).

I think it's between the end of normal programming and before they start to broadcast Radio 5 Live.

The shows are called something like "The Bob Sevant Emails" and they are essentially just an exchange between Bob and some other party regarding a particular issue.

I've really enjoyed the ones I've heard - really quite amusing in a gentle way.

A quick search on the BBC website reavealed nothing.

Cheers,

Eric :)
