What I like about Honda k20's

Post by Dipper » Thu May 24, 2012 8:49 pm

Other than their all round awesomeness they're pretty damn good on fuel as well! Did a run today with my honda'd s2, mates supercharged exige and my bro's supercharged Elise. Starting from full tanks, we stopped to fill up and the sc Elise took £50, sc exige took £42 and my Honda a mere £36!

Nae bad at all! :thumbsup

:blackeye Sorry!

You missed a cracking run though. My lugs are still buzzing after 12hours of roof off and 9000rpm . Have to say the noise was equalled by the stage 3 zorst on the Elise sc. Totally different sound but ace all the same

Haha! There are no calcs to rip apart. Just an observation at a petrol station! But I'll defend my non scientific observation to the hilt anyway. I even have 2 witnesses, and considering they witnessed the test that should be as good as peer evaluation. All that's needed for science fiction to be deemed science fact!

My S/C Honda is pretty much the same Dipper, use less fuel than the others as am in 6th most of the time.

Going to be up your way tonight, a couple of us are going out for a run along the Moray coast. Leaving Old Deer around 1830 if you want to join up.

- which clearly demonstrates how inefficient these blown engines are, particularly the Eaton blowers -

Interestingly have done a lot of work fueling on my engines, and it is clear the K20's have sequential fueling only at low revs, on WOT throttle or above 2500rpm it looks like they go into old fashioned batch firing.

so clearly the thing is set up for emissions, and they are not using the potential of a modern fuelling scheme for better power and torque - now there's a hint!
