Take plenty of pictures please!

Re: Porsche Glasgow
I passed the garage on the way to Braehead as well. Looked impressive even from roadside. I meant to go back after a visit to the shops but ran out of time.

Dropped in today, an impressive display indeed! Whilst I agree with philthy that the GT2 RS was
, I was in awe of the 917. Its tiny! To think these things had 700+ BHP and would exceed 200mph at Le Mans is testament to the skills and cojones of the guys who raced them.

I popped in yesterday to have a look - some very nice cars. The GT2 RS was stunning.philthy wrote:jumped in on the way home from work, saw an elise in the carpark too but didnt see any faces I recognised.

Might of been my Elise you saw (black 06 plate)? Must admit I've been a bit of a stranger to SE since getting it - must get my act together and make some of the runs in future!
Cheers,
Mike.

That one had about 630bhp and did about 220mph on the mulsanne at Le Mans (that's a 1970 spec 917K, bought new and still owned by Derek Piper in 69, converted to the K body in '70). Later developments in US Can Am racing (with a couple of turbos) went way over 700bhp - they actually had about 1100 at full boost.
Just because I know several folk will have been waiting for me to wade in with my furry hood bristling - I have a thing about the 917.
