S1 front clam value

Post by Gareth » Wed Dec 09, 2009 7:11 pm

Anyone got a ball park figure of how much a "vgc" S1 front clam in the right colour is worth?
Did the S1 fitment of a front clam change over the years? For example, would a early s1 clam fit a latter Elise?

Around £250-£350 I would think.

They should all fit regardless of age.

I could be wrong, but is there perhaps a difference around the headlights if it is a 111S or 135 Sport with headlamp covers? No doubt this wouldn't affect the overall fit.

There is indeed a difference, on the headlamp bezels.

But as stated, makes no difference to the overall fit. The only difference it makes is to which type of headlamp covers you fit.

That might explain why one of my headlamp covers fits better than the other.

I bought two, one was brand new in primer but after market at £300, and a used azure blue one with twin headlights and fully built up at £380, that Craig talked me out of and swapped me for his.

When I was looking for my rear clam, fronts seemed to be more expensive than rears and also sold quicker. They seemed to be in the region of 350+ but then as with everything some cheaper ones come along...
