Camber Gauge in ABZ - Anyone ?

Post by Gourlay83 » Sat Jul 18, 2009 6:56 pm

Anyone in the Aberdeen area have a camber gauge ?.

Lowered the Clio 172 and fitted a set of camber bolts. Thought i would manage to get it reasonable with a Spirit level and measuring tape........i was wrong.

Thanks
Alan

Hi Alan, dont have a gauge but last time I did it I just used fishing line with a weight. Used a mic to measure off the line to the rim. I repeated the measurments and was getting fairly repeatable results (around 0.1 degree i think). It does take ages to set up a tripod and wait for the line to become stable but when needs must. Cheers Craig.

I've got one your welcome to borrow. It's a digital inclinometer witha home made frame but works and is accurate to 0.1 of a degree.

Thanks for the replies.

I spent a bit more time with home made set up and much happier.

Thanks for the offers
