I'd love a 340R. Scotty's just gone and f**ked it all up for me though - as after seeing the flamemobile in the flesh, it just looks so right!

I'd never feel it was complete without the flames and I'd not be enough of a tit to copy the paintjob :(

That Caterham r500 looks awesome!

Massive fan of the 340r also!

Now just need to see what happens with the R (or at least have some vague idea!)

I popped in yesterday (to have a sly look at the 240 cup) and apparently your big end has gone - don't know if that's old news to you or not mate :(

What's the next step? Replace under warranty? Just being nosey coz if you're thinking about a 340R you'll need the cash from the Liz I guess; you could always part-ex Ed in for it right enough ;)

 Oh God, how to resist the fnarr-age

But seriously, bad news :( Not sure they actually bother rebuilding engines any more, so that may be game over for that one :(

Spoke to them this morning, and they don't know what is wrong with it yet, but are about to strip it down.

Its not sounding good though :(

Typically this happens in the middle of summer

Andy, have they given you one of the printout things they can get about how much time its spent at redline etc? That would be interesting, a guy on PH had one when his yota went bang.

I remember when he posted his poll with regards to the paint job. I thought WTF has he done to a beautiful car and even chickened out from posting my vote. But then ...
...I saw it in the flesh at MT KH on Friday and was very impressed. It looks really good in real life. As Shugs says, this should be standard on 340r's.

Here are a some pics that only half give an impression of what it looks like.
