More like a month.
Wanting a chrome Orange S2 Exige to owing an S1 Elise in 5 weeks. Thats what few trackdays on Loti do to you!
I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

Erm wee bit of time yet. I didnt fully expect how different the driving is. Although it feels fast to me when I go round country roads there is no way on earth I am anywhere near good enough for track. Need to get used to the braking, when to accelerate, how to handle it if it does step out. All these uncertaintes need to be sorted until I would take it on track. It would not be fair to myself or others on track as I wouldnt want to spin out and hit one of you guys through my lack of driving ability

Thats the whole point of going on track; you wont spin and hit anyone on track as you will be aware when people are around you. Better that than trying to "handle it if it does step out" on the road when the risks of other people not paying attention are there.....

KH is probably the safest place to learn the skills you talked about!
N00bies usually get given lots of space at KH.....as per other thread!
Now stop the excuses and get your name down as a reserve for 28th!
Ermmmm.....what JJ said!

Congrats Scott
Now you've the hardtop off, get in on the real S1 experience; pop the roll hoop cover off and take the rear window out. It'll slot in between the pax seat and sill.

Dont worry to much about KH / track... you'll be fine.
Just don't push it too much, drive smoothly and you'l have loads of fun.
I made my track debut on Tut's Speedfair Friday night, in my car which i'd not driven more or less this year, besids a 1 hour Fife blast on that Friday, and some motorway miles. The car come back to me faster and with different suspension to what it had originally too!
I made interesting marble marks on my tyres, oh and the fan belt slips now, but those are the worst things that happened.
Oh, and I spun at Clarks

You're kidding. I never knew that... What do you do with the roll bar cover though?

Lumbar support?
When you have either roof off you can remove the rear window, or if you just undo the tails of the soft top.

Ahhhhh I see, I thought thats what you called the little support bit than clips in and holds the window on with the soft top. You have to remove it to pop on the hardtop.

Yeah good point, I may give it a go but I will be crapping it haha. I am not really confident about getting up to speed with you guys as I dont rate my driving at all! I really need to learn a big amount to get anywhere near you guys\!
