Front number plates - go without?

Post by Bada Bing! » Sun Nov 25, 2007 7:16 pm

I've lost another one (I think going into a car wash), and it won't stick on cos it's so cold outside. I've just cleaned the holder and got rid of all the sticky stuff and put the plate in the boot.

I take it there's no getting away with a smaller plate, or just putting a note of the reg on the dash or something?

you could run without a front even though it is illeagle and hope you can charm your way out of it if you get pulled.

example
police:you have no front number plate sir
you: yes it fell off earlier when i went over a really big speed bump that I'm sure was bigger than the alloted 100mm,it's in the boot just off to halfrauds to get some screws.
police A : well make sure you do!
police B : tough here's a £30 fine
you A : thanks
you B : oh well officer I suppose you must do your job.. (while secretly thinking hey I'm still £30 and 3 penalty points up as 30mins ago I blasted through those average speed camera's*)

*of course all speeding is a very bad thing that instantly kills starving kids in africa 1 for every mph over the limit !

I've already seen the cozzers twice since I knocked it off, and they haven't bothered their shirt. I was actually on my way to Halfords on one occasion to buy sticky pads, so was quite happy to mention that. :D

I can't be arsed with giving them an excuse to pull me over as I'm not a 17 year old rebel without a cause these days. :P

I know a bloke who did that, post office in dumfries. he's in jail he couldn't drive so didn't have a getaway car or plan!

I also remember him getting grounded for a month for taking his school tie off on the way to school.

he also thought he was ally mccoist

in short he was a tit
