What's involved in the 1st service?

Post by David Bryce » Thu Nov 01, 2007 3:22 pm

booked in at MMC in a couple of weeks, so what is involved? (not the running in / 1k service)

I can't believe that's a year I have had her and I'm surprised that I have done 6.5k miles already, not bad for just occasional use :D

oh and by the way, Lotus are paying for the service as an apology for my car being off the road for a few weeks during the summer :thumbsup

Normally around about £330 and oil and filters and general check over iirc.

HTH cheers Ed :D

I realise you are getting a freebie. I used Ali and SLS for my second service (the first being the 1K).

Half the price, and good banter to boot - can't beat it :)

Could be worse - I'll need to set up my engine every time I use it and every 5 races the bottom end needs to be dropped out for bearing shells etc and whole engine will need to be rebuilt once a year... go figure..

I doubt I'll be using Lotus unless Brian Angus agrees to servive her down at Hethnel.

Can Ali stamp your book yet? Or has he yet to get the SLS logo on paper?

Kick the tyres, burn your fuel, fill up the wash bottle with fluid worth more than champers.
