F1

My first thought was that he does not deserve to be World Champion after screwing up on the first lap, that was rookie madness, for as long as his car keeps going he was almost guaranteed to get it.

However it has made it exciting, as he is sything his way through the field from 18th.

Shades of GP2.

He's (Hamilton) not made mistakes all season and screws up last time out and today althought todays incident was madness. I think he could still do it but then his car might be a little Fragile.

What a farce. Hamilton the only driver to do three fuel stops, so now out of it.

Alonso too low down so Kimi looks likely if the car keeps going.

McLaren don't deserve to win it after last race and this one, dunno what they've been playing at this year.

Poor Hamilton! Far from blameless, however it should have been his!

Scotty, unfortunately that photo you were going to pose for wont work now!

Big boys leaned on him in the first corner to the tinkling sound of his bottle going - what was he thinking trying to mix it up with Alonso?

You know what will happen next year - McLaren will be pish and Hamilton will spend the rest of his career bouncing around different teams chasing the grail.

I think what we saw this afternoon was the final part of mclarens punishment for the ferrari scandal.

Has to be.

Congrats to Kimi, a title is long overdue. First of many I hope, and at least Hamilton didn't win it.

Two fingers up to ITV.

You are 100% right. I have said as much for a while. Such is the tradition for all British drivers, JYS excepted.

Yeah - really pleased Kimi won it :D :D . Hamilton has been amazing for a rookie, but the Iceman has been clearly the best driver over the course of the whole season, and but for 2 races where he dropped out with mechanical failure would have won the championship in China. McLaren must be feeling pretty sore about their decision to leave Hamilton out too long on shagged tyres in Shanghai.

At least wee Hamilton has something to aim for next year otherwise I don't think he would have stayed in F1, he seemed a bit fed up with all of the burocracy.

Hamiltons team cocked it up for him, firstly making him stay out on knackered tyres in China, and today making do three stops, WTF was that all about.

Also the "mysterious" engine power loss today, which even the commentator said was as if someone in the pits had flicked a switch on and off.

Hidden agenda?????? A deal made that Maclaren would not win the championship, to avoid being booted out of F1 completely after the Ferrari spying scandal??

Maybe just my mind working overtime after a glass of Laphroig!! But maybe not.......................

I'm drinking Shiraz, and it reeked of inadequacy and mental exhaustion over burocracy.

There's always next year. The only reason anyone is disappointed is because of the British media. He's a rookie FFS, but for some reason we were all poised to see him take the title.

Poor bugger.
