Just after opinions on what the best 'fix' is when your door locks get frozen and the key wont turn, think i remember someone saying that rubbing a pencil on the key helps (graphite?)
Can you even prevent this from happening? - Might be a sign telling me to put the Hardtop on

WD40 will work when the lock is defrosted.
Bearing in mind that WD in WD40 means "Water Dispersing"
Then lubricate with grafite powder after the WD40 evaporates.
(Availabe from the cycle section of halfrauds)

I have found clamping your mouth over the lock and breathing deeply into into it. aka giving your door a blow job works when you have left your WD40 in your other trousers.
and yea it's Water Displacement 40th Attempt
it is also kinda sad that I know that

I used 3in1 oil when mine did this as its thicker than WD.

Problem with oil in the locks is that it makes grit stick and speeds up wear, hence the dry lubricant.

Think of the weight of that central locking!
I've fitted some back seat so I can fold them down. Makes it go faster

I use to take a cup of boiling water, and a tissue out with me on cold mornings. Hold the metal part of the key in the hot water for 10 secs, quickly dry it with the tissue / your tie / gloves; insert key and wiggle; lock soon heats and unlocks

it hurts, make sure your lips are dry.
