If you ever had a doubt about the posters on SELC*CK then please read this:

Please someone slap the lot of them
Oh and the plane will fly (There is no spoon) cos that's what planes do, treadmill or not.
For the record: Our jets can take off and land on ice, they just can't taxi about (That's what the manual says, I wouldn't want to see it!)

Oh dear, oh dear, not worth it old boy!
The answer is already there but the "characters" on there are impervious to correct answer and quote sh*t at each other instead. They'll start the sniping soon.
Just made me chuckle at the amount of pish on there....
this is a better one:

Will make you think at least.

I'll check it later for the undoubtedly huge amounts of bollocks that will inevitably accumulate.....
The only bits of SELC*CK worth reading is some of the gossip/pish in the general and there are some good technical types out there. IMHO.

Rich,
I think they are missing the air speed / ground speed differential and how the thrust acts!!!

Some of them seem to have problems grasping the problem let alone the solution.
Planes are driven by pushing air backwards not driving the wheels!

Curiously the Puma helicopter was designed to have hydraulic motors on it's undercarriage. You could then have folded the blades and driven it home... Didn't make it to production though, but the kept the brakes the same, helis don't really need them but the puma could stop the world if it wanted.

I really wanted to wade in and bang some heads but I really don't think it would make any difference.

I was about to say the same thing! Even if he was right, which I believe he's not there's no need for that attitude!

He is still at it, tied up in his own misunderstanding. Very nearly joined in, but I'm not convinced that he isn't taking the piss. I really hope he is for all our sakes: he drives a car! On public roads! In the UK! In London thank god.
There is a better example of SELC*CK anyway get the responce to this poor bugger, he only asked about Honda-ing an old S1, I suspect he's gone elsewhere....

Dare I ask what the stigma surrounding Honda'd cars is? I thought the general concensus was they were good? I take it there is a bit of rivalry between the different companies that offer it?

Looks like it. I think there are some huge egos in there and there is only so much room for their massive swollen sweeds, they tend to bump into each other
There has been a few references to the Scottish Elises in the past on there, anyone care to elaborate?

They do make me laugh.
Whenever I'm bored or need a giggle I just pop over there and look for one of these threads - never had to search for very long...
Shame, because as said before it is a good place for information, however I just do not feel inclined to join in - better from a distance!

It's not really worth going into but Kelvin has a Honda car and I'm not sure exactly what happened but Scuffers ended up on the Yahoo site and there was a whole lot of arguing. Kelvin unsubscribed from SE, which was a shame and it all ended then. There are a lot of egos around but the whole thing isn't helped by some people who seem intent on stirring up sh*t. I've no doubt the Honda conversion is superb but the stuff on seloc really doesn't do anyone any good.
Lets hope none of that ever ends up here

Yes, but had it been a bloke would they have had the same response? I have my doubts....
The girlfriend has been known to use that effect, especially as she is an engineer, when dealing with car mechanics, crafty cow.
