BTW, i have a pair of mk1 seats you can have if you don't want to ruin the ones that are in it. I broke a 64 mk1 last year, but most of the parts are ebayed away. I'll have a look at whats in the shed at cumnock - your welcome to anything thats left if it's any use.

These old classics are really simple mechanicals, solidly built & never break down.

Literally the only things you can fix without replacing an engine or summit, you can fix with a hammer & some WD40. Feck all else to go wrong (no reverse light, no legal requirement for seatbelts FFS - although they are fitted

Looking at the last picture I got the 'smell' of the old mini I passed my test in.

Green Subaru Impreza Turbo, a 'classic'.
Silver Jeep Cherokee 2.5 TD, on SORN spec...
Black Disco 3, black van man spec...

Very little tin-worm. Was totally rebuilt in 2004 (most of the metal is fresh) Little surface rust here and there, but I'll tidy that. Woodwork is just surface too - needs a wee bleach and re-varnish.
As for the matress, no. But a fetching green shagpile.... oh yes

I gave Shug a tow-bar for the mini last night - that way you'll be ok when the Healy breaks down

Yeah - tow bar on an 850cc Mini, purely for comedy value
