Nice car and good pictures.
What's it like compared to the Exige?

Can't really compare yet. I am definitely no driving-god, but even I found the Exige to be fairly easy to drive fairly quickly on my local A and B roads. Nothing stupid mind, but I had the feeling that I was comfortably inside the limits of the car but it was still fun. With the Ultima I am not sure where I am in the performance envelope at any given time. I took it up to Turriff last week to get some custom exhaust bits fitted to make it much louder and managed to spin the wheels accelerating out of the 50 limit on the motorway at Laurencekirk and that was a straight bit of road. I think it is a fairly blunt instrument and you could almost stick it in 3rd gear and drive it like an automatic. Performance is totally wasted on me... but it looks good

No... but I was up that way last Tuesday

I had been up to Turriff Exhausts to get rid of the big silencers and have some custom-made ones fitted.
One hour heading south, inching through Aberdeen rush hour traffic, and the car was perfect.
On the other hand, my left thigh was bursting with all the clutch use and my ears were bleeding from the recorded 97dB inside the car.
Memorable.

Jim, do you not really think at your age you should be looking at auto boxes?

Yeah, but that's backwards - I want the car blurred, the scenery stationary. You may need to push a lot harder to achieve that
