I'm absolutely amazed at the control these guys have. Would love to give it a wee shot, is there anywhere you can do hire them or do a training course in trials riding??

Lee has been kind enough to offer me an opportunity to try this, just struggling to find a free day at the moment..

Sorry for not getting back to your last message Lee..

I have a neighbour who bought an exact replica of the Repsol - and to my amazement it is registered to use on the roads - despite having no seat

I don't know anywhere in Scotland that hires bikes out, I can give you the number for the guy who runs the Bob McGregor Trials Training Academy which is in a quarry a couple of miles out of Paisley . I think he has a couple of spare bikes so might be able to sort you out.
There are a couple of similar places down south but you would need to check about bike hire, The TrialsPark Corton Lowestoft, CowmLeisure and a place called Bumpy near Rochdale.
If you cant get anything sorted with hire/training and just want a wee shot you can have go on my bike.

The Repsol Montesa Honda 4 strokes are great bikes to ride ,my mate sold his at the start of the year. Build quality/reliability unmatched by any of the other manufacturers. They have downsides to though, much more pricey new but talk of 20% off for 2014, at least 5 kilos heavier than any of the 2 strokes, very loud engines Harley Davidson sounding :D Its great when you see someone ride one up a loose rocky section, they just rotorvate there way up leaving a main road for the next rider
