My First YouTube Video. The Dukes Pass

At last I got around to loading my video taken last Friday on the Dukes Pass A821. Road conditions were pretty good (for a BMW GS anyway) and traffic was light so it was a good run. The video was filmed on Pentax Optio W30 camera attached to the handlebar guard with a small ball and socket tripod head.

I have more video from the day including footage using a low mounted Archos bullet camera over the Dukes Pass filmed at the same time as the one above. Hopefully might get it posted up tomorrow before we leave for Gairloch.

:thumbsup

Who else was shouting "move over fatty" at the start? ;-)

I assume that your visibility is better than that afforded by the camera? I've never ridden a bike, so no idea what it looks like!

Cheers,
Robin

Yes I reckon it is abandoned as I am sure I noticed a brocken window as I passed, though wasn't paying too much attention :tired

Not that i'm an expert, but from my limited experience, you sit fairly high. I can easily see over the top of normal sized cars, even estates, your view is probably almost as high as a transit van.

And of course, the camera tracks with the bike, whereas your head is independant, looking round corners etc

Great video Iain, though I was slightly worried with the two flat cap bikers in front of you until you overtook them.

Looked like you were really enjoying it and giving the bike some welly with knee down action.
