Sprint Pics

Post by jason » Mon Oct 22, 2007 9:56 am

What a great day... why oh why did I not bring the Seven! Still learning best way of handling the monopod more than anything... hence still a bit 'static'. Getting there though.

My pics from the day can be found here http://www.flickr.com/photos/jason-l/se ... 594396238/...

Ehh YEH!!

I was sold some duff LSS

Only kidding.

Its not untill you see the pictures of you car ,that you can see what is going on with it.

The mini is way to soft at the back, which is causing the wheels to rub(it has never done that before ever,KH and Forrestburn with the same setup?) and also causing the inside front to lift .

The Elise was just all wrong for the track(not making any excuses  ) Soft LSS.wrong tyres, and standard gearbox, which with an engine with cams, just did not work.

All the same, you may see me at the next Auto test,it was very good fun :D

Jason

I'm well impressed with them. The light was just rubbish in the morning so know what you were up against. I know you said that you were struggling at times as the lens was just a bit too long, but I really like the close crop ones.

I did have my camera with me yesterday but when I saw your gear I guessed that it may not be worth taking it out of the bag. I guessed right :D

If you don't mind I'll probably nick a couple from your flickr site for my collection.

No problem :)

Yeah, I like how the abstracts and faces shots came out... were a no go-er in teh morning when I was still sussing out monopod handling. A lot of the pm ones were actually handheld

It's a shame you didn't get your camera out... could have got some good atmosphere shots around the paddock, no? But far too much fun been had driving by the looks of things 8) ...whilst Myles and I were fannying around with daft WMDs

Yeah, I think you are right, but sometimes I just don't feel in the mood and when I am like that I can never "see" any good pictures, so best left safely in the bag.

You kinda always had to be ready to move your car forward in the queue or else you risked missing your slot and having to wait another 20 mins or so. Not that anyone would jump the queue <cough>Kenny</cough> :D
