the last courtesy car I had was fitted with these, they are amazing, absolutely mind boggling!

even compared to the adaptive lighting on the M3 they were waaaay more advanced!

You can be driving along a country lane and come across a bright road sign, and one of the headlights dips, and the other spreads its beam across the whole road - still retaining a full view of the road but removing the glare you get off the sign!
