cheers Dom, its decent fast group pace, but the really fast guys and ex racers are faster on corner entry and exit despite my mid corner speed being about the same. They trail brake to the apex and are harder on the throttle, but thats the scary bit that takes a bit more learning.

The track is great, would be awesome in an elise. Very twisty, blind in places, and very flowing and technical

How do you manage to re-calibrate your brain for the braking points on the bike Vs braking point in the car? .... or don't you?

braking is my poorest point on the bike, but its basically the same. You NEED to have a clearly visible reference point as at the end of that straight i'm doing 160-170mph. The actual braking itself is VERY physical, the forces are trying to throw you over the front, you need to grip with your knees loads, and brace your arms as little as possible as that upsets the bike. Its much more pyhsical than car braking, where the belts support you. The biggest thing is the mental belief that the front wont lock. It will easily generate enough grip to flip the bike end over end before it locks, you just have to convince yourself that the fisics are on your side.

it wasnt my caterham :D I lost the memory card for my go pro, and wanted to get footage of the track, so i borrowed someone elses caterham, complete with go pro attached. I only had enough petrol for an out lap, a flyer, and an inlap, so was on my best behaviour.

The track is amazing. Very hilly and balls out in places. You'd love it. If i play my cards right, i'll be going back in march/april for 3 days on the R1. Cant wait.
