Interesting. They were cheating - did you see the line of dirt placed on the ground? Made it nice slow & controlled.
There were a few stunts that we practised years ago. That was one. I practised that with cones; got the parking gap down to the car's length + 23 cm (with a few battered cones along the way). Never had the confidence to try it with cars (well in a gap that small anyway). Perhaps I should!

The other trick was to take two cars, park them parallel, with a gap between them of your car length + 1.5M, then do a J turn through the gap. Again, I only ever did that one with cones.
