Who are going to the Ring with Ed and when? I need to get back again. Going in September with a wee Euro tour crowd but could squeeze another one in. And it's only a fraction of the cost on the bike. :D

Sorry for the O/T.

The last couple of times I've stayed at the Ringhause and the Burgestube (its sister hotel) not too pricey and both 2 mins from the ring entrance. :D 8)

Check here for booking. http://www.ringhaus.com/hotel_en/public/public.php

Where are you getting the ferry?

I'd have seriously considered it if you were leaving from here and heading over for the weekend but travelling all the way over on my own does not fill me with joy. Part of the fun is the getting there in a group.

I'll see if anyone else would be up for it just for the weekend. :D 8)

Id like to take the pug across and see what its all about, maybe even take it on for a lap or two.

Can you give me details Don if you'd be up for me coming across with you?

The more the merrier matey!! :D Why not take the Cat?? :?

Haven't really thought about it much or planned anything yet but if I go it will just be:

- Leave Rosyth/Newcastle Friday evening
- arrive at ring Saturday afternoon
- Ring open all day Sat/Sun and Monday from 1pm
- Return to ferry on Tuesday home wednesday.

:D 8)

Sounds good to me. Id take the pug because of fuel, just scope it out then maybe take the cat across another time. Plus I dont have Euro breakdown on the cat.

Im interested. :)

yup, i was looking at doing this very thing just yesterday

the ferry from rosyth is awkward for meeting up with the rest of the peeps tho. If we got the ferry on thursday, we'd arrive in belgium midday friday then have a 4 hour drive to the ring. Alternative is to leave on the saturday, but that means we wont get to the ring until 4pm sunday at the earliest.

I'll try and look at sailing from different ports later today.

Outbound:

09/08/2007 17:00 Rosyth / Zeebrugge BLUE STAR 1 10/08/2007 12:00

or

11/08/2007 17:00 Rosyth / Zeebrugge BLUE STAR 1 12/08/2007 12:00

Inbound:

13/08/2007 18:00 Zeebrugge / Rosyth BLUE STAR 1 14/08/2007 11:00

or

15/08/2007 18:00 Zeebrugge / Rosyth BLUE STAR 1 16/08/2007 11:00

Cheers,

Steve

Yeh the Rosyth ferry is only every 2 days now which is a PITA. The Newcastle ferry is pretty good and not too far to get to. :D

True, and you end up in amsterdam too 8) :beer :tard

They insist you take a cabin IIRC and that means double the price of the rosyth jobbie though....
