"I'm often asked what's needed to participate in a MSA Sprint at Kames or Forrestburn and the answer is always the same - Very little
Your car, if it's road taxed is fine, just fit a beam breaker, to trigger the timing lights and a wee sticker near the ignition switch that points to "off"
Then get yourself a fireproof suit and make sure you crash lid has the correct sticker.
Now racing's different but the suit needed for a sprint can be made from Proban treated cotton or Nomex.
Nomex suits are 2-300 quid, Proban suits are 65 upwards.
If there is enough interest then I can get the minimum requirement suit for £30, It'll be more like a boiler suit but with cuffs, collar and zip.
I have a design of timing strut that will fit the front grill and I'll do the little sticker for "off"
This would mean that any of you can try a sprint at the minimum cost and still have a pair of overalls to use when changing your pads and ball joints.
There's only one catch, the manufacturer will only do a minimum run of 40 suits.
So does anyone want a Proban Suit? He'll do any sizes I ask for but it's Navy Blue or Orange only, actually I asked him to forget about the orange

I have a sample here, just need a model for the piccy

BTW I had the suit checked out by the MSA scutineer that wouldn't let tut drive as normal with no shoes, luckily he was over ruled by the clerk of the course that day .
