Best KH photo vantage points?

going to knockhill tomorrow for Lorna's "beginners track day" thingy and would like to get a few photos to mark the occassion. Was wondering "where are the best places to take photos from"?

Good shots on the inside of the track if they let you that far in. Inside of Duffus from the marshal post is good....

If you don't have an SLR with a long lens, stick to the hairpin. Most other places will be too fast and too far away for a point and shoot camera.

Hairpin is good - long lens or not, but also you will get a good view at the chicane, but with a bit of panning practice, you will improve your shots.

Alternatively, stuck for ideas? Try the pitlane wall!

i like clarks, personally. anywhere from outside of the turn in point, looking back from the exit. can get some good angles and variations.

Worse off is my dented pride & confidence not helped by instrustor's first words when the car stopped being "you're the first person ever to have spun off when I've been instructing. Not something to be proud of".

I just thought I was doing what I was told up until I lost it

Anyway, Lorna had a great time

so will be fighting over who gets the Elise even more from now on

will post Lorna pics a.s.a.p. As my excursion was only on the second proper lap, not many photos of mine!

Hi Craig

I was really suprised that this happened on your second lap out - as i would have hoped they'd have been building you up slowly.

Hopefully Friday night gave you a bit more of a boost, and I'd happily go out with you next time you want to go on track. (if you think that would be of any use

)

On the plus side mate, its only pride that was dented and nothing more.

I didn't know you were both doing the hi performace day. Not ideal that it happens whilst under instruction either - but at least you've broken your duck, so to speak.

Be interesting to watch the battle for the keys from the sidelines instead of being one of the combatants
