Actually... just browsing the KH schedule....
How come they do a Hot Hatch day from 9am to 8pm for £40 on a Sunday, 3 times this summer.... and not a single HM day ..... but for 2 hours of HM in an evening it costs £50?!?!?!
What's that all about then.....??!?!?! it's not like they wouldn't sell out a HM sunday at £40 a shot is it?!?!?!
Surely makes better business sense to offer at least one full HM day during the summer at a weekend for those of us who work during the week..... I'm sure most of us would pay £80 happily for a full day.... then if numbers are the same.... KH double their takings!!.... am I missing something here?!?!?!
Hmmmmmm.......

I guess Hot Hatch is unlimited numbers so can be cheaper (sessioned so less track time...)

Spot on Ali! Its a fre for all, with mega q's. You spenmd most the time watching drug abuse, whiel waiting to get back on the track.
Street legal sounds very herbet also -
Would be good if they'd arrange another HM morning like we had last month.

I wonder if this was the day my bro was talking about going to with his mates in their cars too.
I would go but if bro wants to drive Raoul I'll leave him to it, rather than be a passenger...

Sounds to me like it's HM style but without the £10K minimum value.
No trailered cars (do you think there will be a few parked in the access road

) so I guess it will be generally slower but maybe not...

BigD is booked, according to the big poof its a HM style open pit but without a 10k price tag, to be honest when was the last HM you were on that there wasnt a few sub 10k cars, but no loony 500bhp track monsters thinking they own the track.
If the weather is nice (thats that fcuked) I'll book on

i aint going back to knockhill if they insist on sticking cones on the track. ruins the appeal. Why pay £60 for 2 hours tracktime up there (other than the fact its local) when you can get a whole day at a similar grade of circuit for 60 quid (albeit miles away).
60 quid for 2 hours, times 4 = 240 quid for a days tracktime. fcuk hell, you can get a full day on Spa for 170. a full day on silverstone for 200, a day on oulton park for 100 quid plus. Lot even had a day at cadwell park (arguably a much more fun circuit) for 70 quid. jesus. how over priced is knockhill, then they start taking away your choice of line through a corner.
Rant over (for the moment)

Its £60 for 3 and an half hours on Sunday which is why I am considering it, believe me I am not in the least impressed with the cones either.
Hoping that KH see sense in the near future and bin them.

to be honest, i wont be going on KH again while they insist on using cones.
I can see the benefit, but as said, it spoils the fun.
What use is the hairpin without some fun
i thot perhaps they would do it for a couple months during the late winter/early spring as the track had changed - but if thats not the case and they want to use it "coz the driving school found that the learners benefited" then maybe they will need a drop in revenue to learn another way of looking at it

Maybe worth starting a thread on it here:
http://knockhill.motorsportforum.com/
They listened to the complaints about the sin bin and it was dropped.

Thanks for that Kenwood.
I raised the issue of the cones with the girl that did the briefing, (can't remember her name). I was basically saying what you said Phil about the hairpin and being slightly sideways. I already have 2 cone dents in the car and don't want anymore.
She did say that they are not as bad as they were on the last HM day but they still looked quite severe on Monday night.
Anyway I am booked on as it is a decent price.
EDIT: Sasha I think I spoke to.
