First track day - SIDC 15 March?

I had a great time on Sat at KH and think it is time to put my shiney car on track. What are people's though's about the SIDC day on 15 March as a good first experience to track driving? Would it be a bit more "novice friendly" than the Hot Marques day?

Yeah its a good event for a novice and there are always plenty of other Loti.

SIDC has the best driver behaviour and is also probably the best organised event run at KH that I've been too.

Strongly advise getting on to this one if there is space left - they are VERY popular

The Atom will be along on this one also

I've given up on the Hot Marques - driver skill/manners were cr*p last time i was on one of them - Scooby club days are spot on.

Just emailed John to check on availability but got an out of office until the 28 Feb

. The web site is still accepting payments so I guess I might as well pay and cross my fingers.

bigrichi, I've not heard anything back from John yet. I'll let you know if I hear anything. I'll also ask about availability at the SIDC days later in the year.

There are still places left, John has sent me a note basically saying that if its still showing in the club shop (http://www.sidc.co.uk) then there are still places available.

I've signed up

- so require lots of encouragement and guidance from those who know what they are doing.

Having looked at the posts on insurance it looks like its overly expensive and with an excess of 10% car value

I can do alot of damage before they would pay out, but will probably be driving like miss daisy

trying not to damage my pride and joy.

hopefully see lots of you there
