Frolic 13 (2015)
Re: Frolic 13 (2015)
Already got the PFs on the way. Yeah, it was mainly the 5s people were moaning about but I felt like experimenting anyway. More concerned about the tunnel now...

As Scott and I are only using the Tunnel on the way home, we've deceide the worst case scenario if we are held up would be .......shoot down to Spa and watch the GP then worry about getting home thereafter......."There's always a bright side".DougT wrote:Already got the PFs on the way. Re: Frolic 13 (2015)
What tunnel you booked on Graham?
We're early Sunday morning, staying at the Ibis in Calais on Sat night.
Think Campbell is doing the same.
No Spa for us, got to pick the hounds up from the kennels.

We're booked on the 7.50am train on Sunday, hopefully no issue's and we can travel without delay as I'm supposed to be working on Monday, but as "fall backs" go, Spa sounds good.flyingscot68 wrote:What tunnel you booked on Graham?

We've booked the Saturday evening Chunnel back (didn't fancy staying in Calais) which could be better or worse, who knows?!

Not FF related, but a heads up to a great product that I've been using for the past year or so that might be of interest: http://www.kleers.com/products/soapy-detailing-cloth
You get a pack of 4 for £5, and it is best to cut them into 4 squares before you leave (they are too tough to tear by hand - I've tried!).
They are an absolute godsend on long journeys, especially if you are travelling at dusk or in the dark. I typically end up with loads of squished flies on the windscreen and headlights on long journeys at this time of the year, most of which screenwash and wipers won't touch. It's then a nightmare if you get rain and can't see hardly anything. Pull into a service station, wet one of your cut up quarter sections (a blast of screenwash will normally suffice), and then wash your windscreen and headlamps with the now soapy cloth. Rinse with a squirt of screenwash and your wipers and you are good to go for another few hundred miles
Just chuck the used section in a bin.
Best of all, they weight absolutely nothing ( lot less than screenwash), and take up virtually no space in your glovebox.
Word of advice - don't clean your side windows unless you have clean water and cloths to rinse with, as the soapy residue will dry quickly when it's warm and you'll see less than you could before - I made that mistake once!

What is this 'glovebox' you speak of?JohnStewart wrote:Best of all, they weight absolutely nothing ( lot less than screenwash), and take up virtually no space in your glovebox.

Will order some later
