Unless you are going on some post spaz jaunt you won't be within 500 miles of Ventoux ;-) Weather at Spa is more Edinburgh than Ventoux ...

Cheers,
Robin

P.S. If you are heading south, a run up and down Ventoux is obligatory ... just watch out for the cyclists :-)

I now need to concentrate on the family holiday which departs same time as you lot, and which put paid to my original pass to join SpaZZ.

Yes Scotty I really had one.

Gutted to miss Hethel amongst other things.

So I'm un-subbing from this epic thread. Fare ye well, have a great time, and I'll read all about it from my beach lounger in the Caribbean.

We're leaving EK at 7am on the Friday.
Got to go and visit the place I've bought the Subaru conversion kit from which is in Suffolk, then a visit to Zenos who are not far from Lotus.

So I guess Lesley and I will see you all at the Holiday Inn.

Can't wait, I've done trips like this on my bikes but this is a first for me, Spa looks excellent!

Robin - I'm considering the drive back on Wednesday as well but I'm just wondering about doing it in a oner since I've got another couple of hours on you to Aberdeen. What time would you anticipate getting to Edinburgh?

My other option is to take the ferry to Newcastle on Wednesday night.
Gary

There is a spare bed in a hotel in the dam for Tuesday and Wednesday and car slot available on the ferry back on Thursday if you are keen?

Hi Gary,

I am sorry - I missed your post!

A 10:50 crossing gets you into Englandshire for 10:50 local time due to time zone change. If we're lucky we'll get north of M25 by 13:00. Then it's a 6 hour drive to Edinburgh and another 2.5 hours to yours, I guess. Certainly a long day, but I've done it before and you won't have the problem of staying up late in the bar the night before :-)

Cheers,
Robin

Thanks Robin. I've booked the same return on the Chunnel.

There's going to be plenty light late on as well so it shouldn't feel as bad as having to drive in the dark. I'd forgotten about the time difference as well.

Anyone needing a slot for Spazz, may not be able to make it, so up for grabs.
