Shug wrote:I have a rough total from the auction - and it's a good one. From the notes taken on the night, we're sitting at a truly brilliant £7040 just for the auction! There's more to come as well as donations from suppliers etc, so I think we can safely say at this early stage, that we blew past £15000 pretty comprehensively.

Excellent result

Is that you Mass that's getting a new Lambo or the Gallardo owner? If you're not wanting the Diablo anymore, I'd gladly offer it a new home

I was talking about John. I will keep the Diablo, Ta! I had a good run in it today

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

A few laps from my first outing, GoPro in the engine bay of the R8 facing backwards, works really well despite the heat...
Not sure who has the silver S1 at Duffus but very quick (Shug?)

I was really down on power all day - enjoyed the twisties though

Well done Dom, Iooked really quick from my perspective. You probably learned more from being low on power than me in the talent masker

A big thanks to Shug, Andy, Mark and all those organising, great fun as always and a great effort on the cash raised. Great to catch up with everyone. Sorry I couldn't make the BBQ. Probably just as well, by the time I made it home I was pretty much wacked. It was a great end to a hectic week.

Thanks Peter

I need to investigate where where I my horses have escaped, but really am enjoying the Elise. It may be a talent masker, but I would think you need a bit of talent to keep it on the black stuff!

Echo the sentiments above - thanks to all the AMP3 and Murrays guys for a cracking day, although it was busy i really enjoyed the track session - this trackday malarky really is getting quite addictive
The party afterwards (from what little i remember) was also top banter, although leaving the rugby club, getting home and being put to bed is somewhat hazy!
Can Andy or Shug remind me what i am due from the auction
Till next year.............

On the auction front, I'm compiling a list of who owes what and you'll get emailed individually this week. Payment simplest through the Virgin giving page - some have remembered what they bid and have already settled (or settled on the night, which we'll reflect on the page when it's all counted) - many thanks to those.

Also - another point that we didn't raise on the night, but superb support from Shooomer...
Coffee Republic in St Andrews square has had collection cans on the go for at least the last couple of months for this event and will continue to do so for the next month or so - hundreds raised already for the cause and a really kind offer from Paul - huge thanks mate! Remember, if you're parched for a coffee (or a wine, as they are licensed) in central Edinburgh, pop into Coffee Republic and chuck your change in the can please

AMP3-0101 to 0112 = classic, how many times have we seen that before...! Realise it was mech failure, great auto-winder sequence and surely something in there for the 2012 Calendar

I'm back in the land of the living now...
Well done and big thanks to Shug, Andy, Mark, MMC and everyone else involved. A great success, and a fantastic time was had.
Thanks too to Campbell for the intervention, I mean lift back to the Pikeylodge. Much appreciated.

LOL. Not for me to spoil anyone's fun, however I began to worry about how Victoria was going to manhandle you into a taxi to get you ANYwhere if you got embroiled in any further shenanigans! So let's say I was simply looking out for her more than wishing to prematurely end your evening

I'm sure when PdR heard what his shirt fetched, it spurred him on for Sunday
I spoke to Shoomer about getting Paul along to a future event to instruct...who knows, he might even pick up some useful pointers himself
