I was supposed to be going to the Ring on Friday, but just don't have time.
I stayed at the Hotel Tiergarten last year and it was excellent. And regardless of where you stay, you have to go the the restaurant there, its awesome!

The Newcastle one is stupid, just been on the site and no matter what cabin you choose it says there arent enough passengers to use that cabin.

What are you supposed to do, pay for imaginary passengers.

i agree! i based a quote on 4 people with 4 vehicles, depart 10th come back 14th and it was £414 each
going from rosyth with sailings on the 9th and 15th with a car is £285pp but thats in aircraft style seats....

Air craft style seats - big no no

! Had a look at the seats when we went to Le Mans last month and the biggest nightmare for anyone was a group of school kids also booked in to the aircraft seats. Derek was talking to the owner of a black exige when we got on the ferry and after we arrived in Bruges and he said that the seats were a nightmare and he ended up sleeping on the floor! The seats have a corridor beside them and if there are people wandering around, you hear everything. The old Superfast ferries had the seats in a separate room, a bit different to what Blue Star offer. If you do go down this road, take a sleeping bag and pillow and get hammered in the bar before trying to sleep

Ok. I've been stooopid and selected the number of cabins rather than the number of people. A cabin each is a touch extravegant!!
Well at that price, i'm in for newcastle then!! Out on the 10th & back on 14th??

Ill have to convince Charlene that the ring would be an ideal trip for her birthday weekend but other than that id be up for this. Never been to the ring before so not sure whats all involved, is it a normal trackday? or do we pay per lap sorta thing?

Nice one lads!
Craig youd love it! Its around 16 euros per lap (13 miles) but you can buy blocks of say 8 laps at a discount. Its a toll road so overtaking on the left only and most german road rules still apply although there is technically only one lane!
Hope you can make it!

Yeah that will work
She loves going in groups of cars and thinks the track is brilliant fun so should be okay. Test the water tonight.

For anyone who doesn't know what it's about have a look at Ben Lovejoy's site
http://www.nurburgring.org.uk/ it's got everything you need to know.
Part of the fun is just soaking up the atmosphere when you are there.

I would have thought that if Craig's other half is going then they may want their own cabin.
