I think it'd be an excellent starter. All day, so it won't be crowded all the time, instructors on hand all day and you'll be on track with a mixture of SE guys that know it well and guys up from the south who won't.

Can't think of a better one to do as a starter TBH - you'll have enough time on track to actually learn it and the on-tap instructors will be ideal.

With the Mini Anniversary and the other show groups, Stuart is not able to fit us in this year.

Will try to get it booked up then. Having not done one before, I thought the £140 was not too cheap. Is that normal or is it beacuse its the whole day? I've done a few track days down south with Evo's and other things but never took mine on. I'm aware of my own limitations but from what you've said it sounds like it'll be fine.

Usually, you'll pay around £100 for 4 hours, so £140 for the day is a total steal.

I really want to do this as it is a bargain IMO, but just not sure if its a good idea that close to Frolics, plus i can't afford it

You're a man of great persuasive powers. Are you on commission?? I shall get it booked shortly. Mentioned it to my eleven year old son so he's up for it too. (He starts raking through the cupboards looking for the crash helmets).

I'm waiting until after next week (Walshy Odyssey with Mr G) to see if the car's up for it and if there's space, I'll book too. Should be top fun.

Done a few track days on the bike but none in the Lotus.

I went along to the SIDC day at Knockhill on the 27th June to get a few pax laps to 'prepare' me for getting on track myself. If you've already been out there in some other cars then you'll have a good idea how it's done. I was desperate to get my car on track - and i'm sure i could have - but i tend to take my time with these things!

However, i'm please to say that the LOT day on 20th will be my first time out on track, and i can't wait!!! I'm fairly sure the etiquette will be pretty good so you have nothing to worry about. Go for it.

P.S Watch some vids on Youtube. I know the track pretty well from this.

Just booked today as the Exige should be back on the road. Conversely it's ideally close to the Frolics as the car needs a proper shakedown...

Not sure why he only has nine places left as we are working on 50 cars and if you take out those that seem to have their names down twice there are 33 signed in.

I think there could well others booked from SE, NYLOC etc who don't have LoT membership hence don't appear on the LoT 'signed on' list....
