Thanks to Blaque for inviting me up and a big thanks to GilesM for a hurl in his S2 - amazing. He cut the corners so tight the cones were wobbling! An awsome xperience for a newbie.
Great day and good to meet some of the other guys.
Cheers.
Glad you enjoyed it, I got a bit too close to one of the chicane cones a bit later on, fortunately no damage.
Great day out, my first trackday for a a couple of years, great fun, but the unusual Knockhill weather did mean I was struggling a wee bit witht he T1Rs, not much grip, but lots of fun.

As I had my sister's family from France staying with me, the nephews were really keen to experience KH, so Scott was kind enough to take me back to my house in Gala (140 miles round trip) in his S1 Elise to pick up the CR. Very much appreciated
Not a problem. As I said I owe you one and got to drive some nice roads on way down although spoiled a bit by the slower motorbikes in front

righto, well thats me just bcack from Holiday - had a good time, but KH was amazing, i had so much fun! im still grinning!
i was happy with it for my 1st trackday and no offs! a couple of 'nearly offs' but i wouldnt have been trying hard enough if i didnt have nay scary moments - i think the most interseting moment of my day was when the radical style westfield single seater spun off right infront of me.......how me and the other car nearby got round it im not sure!!!
Huge thanks to tut for taking my car down and back, also for showing me the track, and how to push my car round it! i was quite impressed with what my little car could keep up with and in fact be faster than in the corners, im pretty sure my car was the lowest powered one there!
Roll on the next one!!

Ah yes, the XTR-2 rotating thingy. Must say you did a good job avoiding that one. I was right behind, the good old Lotus ABS made it a bit easier for me.

thats the one....close call, i didnt even have time to see what the other car near me was, it was just a case of hold on tight, im going round it!!!
yeah, im sure ABS would have helped, i was using traditional - press as hard as possible without locking up - style actions!
surely that car should have been far better than mine on the track tho.......i passed him quite a few time throughout the morning, and im no driving god!

Appeared to be quite an ill-handling device and not terrible quick in straight line, maybe was still getting sorted by builder. I've seen a few slow XTR-2s on TDs - I'm sure with right engine and correct set up they can be pretty quick (Mass could confirm!), but just because it looks a bit like a Radical does not mean it will go like one.

This thing spun in front of me too - not sure if it the same spin mentioned here, but it did seem to happen at low speed

and caught me napping. Shame battery in the camera gave up by that point.

The XTR owner came over for a chat in the paddock afterward. Nice chap, but can't remember his name
...it was his first ever trackday!

The name is Ken. He bought my old XTR2. When he is used to the car and KH, he should be able to do 58 secs (as long as the car stays in a good working condition

).
I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

Hi
I hope you've decided on the menu
Hayabusa 1300. About 180 bhp and weighs 450kg. The problem - it's fragile.
