Great fun - thanks Adam, Fee, and Extreme. :thumbsup :thumbsup

After qualifying we realised our prospects were pretty poor so decided on shorter stints. We were sixth on the grid and swapped positions 6 & 7 a few times with the first two drivers then fell back to last when our third driver hit the pit wall and got stuck for 45 seconds :( . Driver number four pulled some time back but didn't gain any places and drive five continued to make progress. We then sent out our two quickest drivers again and enjoyed a nail biting final few laps where Gordon managed to save our honour by regaining seventh place. Our quickest time was 21.23 and average was 22.92 - only really half a second off the pace but enough to put us 11 laps behind the leader after 2 hours and 312 laps :P

Must do this more often.

Big thanks too all the organisers and staff at Xtreme,

Really had a great night and as for our team I can only agree with David. I've never been so relieved to come second last. The only reason we weren't last was Gordon going out for the the last twenty minutes and putting in some great times.

Now for next year, just need to shed 4 stones in weight and 40 years in age, was cream crakered this morning and my body aches.

Still well worth it.

Was a great night , after a bad start we went into the 1st corner last  then after the race was stoped as our kart was falling to bits we got back on track to finish 2nd. The driving standards were the best i,ve seen at one of these things,a good night out and to catch up with team SE. :thumbsup

Glad you enjoyed it.

I'm feeling slightly bruised and sore today!

I did think they were going to impose a min number of pit stops, but nothing was said in the briefing. The guy did come up to me half way through and ask if I wanted to, but by that point I thought it was too late to add in a new rule.

There were 7 teams of 5 and 1 team of 4 though....so all quite even....and the team of 4 weren't in the top three.
So I guess it was just down to strategy

I have to get this comment in somewhere.... The TrackScotland team would have won if I was taking part... of course :P

Fee and her sister stole my hand selected team (plus one had to pull out)!
