Was the Ultima black without rear wing? Might have been the one I built which now lives in Fife (it was working fine when I sold it, honest)

gdr - no that one wasn't up last night, but I did see it at KH a few months back at a HM Sunday. The one last night had a rear wing and a private plate V8 ***? and I thought that it was also supercharged, but after seeing the engine last night i think I'd been misinformed.

I have a few pictures of it which I'll pop up tonight. It came off the track because it lost it's oil pressure and overheated. Chatted to the guy after he came off and he said that he didn't know how to re-pressurise his acusump (I could offer no assistance on that front! ). In the end I think he left it at KH last night as he didn't want to drive it - either that or he headed off to get a transporter. It was an impressive sight when running with two foot long flames spitting out the two exhausts when braking for the corners 8) :D

Thinforth - managed to get a few pics of you, both before and after the rear wheelarch incident! :thumbsup And a few pics of the two Loti.

The Ultima belongs to my friend Carlo. Him and I came up in with this and the black Lambo Gallardo Spider.

His Ultima is supercharged, the big shiny thing ontop of the engine with the belt on the end.

We made it almost to Kincardine before it broke down and Carlo's trailer was summoned from home.

Awesome on track but very loud in the cockpit. Fastest thing either Carlo or I have ever been in (and that is saying something for him ie has driven a Zonda S and so on). Flames/noise courtesy of the straight through pipes without silencing boxes.

Decided that the most likely problem was an over-heat of the management box causing a misfire and other problems.

Ultima without the spoiler is a less powerful version Carlo recently sold, which my father spun off the track at Clarks around 90mph into the gravel about 6 weeks ago.

Fastest speed last night I experienced in the Ultima was 140mph on the backstraight and about 146mph under the bridge.

NR - awesome piece of kit! Always fancied a run in one  , the experience of the nosie and speed must be awesome. Hope he gets it fixed soon so that we can see it in action again at KH. Did the LAmbo owner not fancy taking it on track? Stunning looking car 8)

Ha, that is the one I built. Nipped in to see Hamish a couple of weeks ago to help out trouble shooting some rough running - looked like throttle pot failure. Hope it is fixed now.
