Clare did a years work experience with Shell Aberdeen before she went to Uni in September.
She was awarded the Shell Student of the year award, and as a result she has been invited back to all their social events, dinners, parties etc.
Yesterday they had a Corporate day at KH, so she was invited along to that, but did not cover herself with glory. Word also got out that she was my daughter, so that was worth a bit of pisstaking from Ian, Billy et al.
Seems she was disqualified from the first Kart race, and then black flagged, for hitting tyres, other Karts and spinning. She seemed to think that it was the same rules as Fairground Dodgems. She enjoyed the single seaters, apart from spinning at the Hairpin on the 2nd lap and bringing out the red flag. 4x4's went well in as much as she did not roll it, but she came into her own on the skid pan and got driver of the day.
But she now has the bug, if not the talent, so is coming along with me to the next KH trackday to drive, but I will send her out with an instructor as opposed to dad.
