Requirements for trackdays

What should be on my crimbo list for trackdays ie what spec helmet ,boots ect ect

Minimum requirement is a helmet that meets BSI 6658 Type A, EC05 Euro Standard or Snell SA95,SA2000 standard


You dont need boots or gloves etc but most people prefer driving in them.

You can use puma speed cats rather than buying proper race boots.

What are peoples thoughts on fireproof clothing? Read somewhere on the internet (must be true) that tracks (read their insurance companies) are thinking of stipulating fireproof kit in forthcoming years.

both of these would be ok. They're the cheapest hemets that demon tweaks sell. Obviously you can spend ALOT more. i.e full carbon F1 helmet for approx 2K :shock:


Theres no current plans for fireproof clothing. Well certainly not for this year. You are meant to have covered arms and legs at all circuits

yes, but i suspect rubbing the signature off so you could see would cost you a lot of money :shock:
